Abbreviations

I will use several abbreviations in my recipes. Maybe you know most of them already, but I'll give a quick overview anyway. I only use European measurements. Sorry, but I haven't got a clue how much an once, pound or an inch is.

- tsp : teaspoon
- Tbsp : tablespoon
- Dsp : dessertspoon
- mg : milligram
- kg : kilogram (= 1000 mg)
- ml : milliliter
- cl: centiliter (= 10 ml)
- dl: deciliter (= 100 ml or 10 cl)
- l : liter (= 1000 ml or 100cl or 10 dl)
- Cup : I use the New Zealand measuring cups


Measuring utensils:
- 1/4 tsp = 1.25 ml
- 1/2 tsp = 2.5 ml
- 1 tsp = 5 ml
- 1Dsp = 10 ml
- 1 Tbsp = 15 ml

- 1/4 cup = 62 ml
- 1/3 cup = 83 ml
- 1/2 cup = 125 ml
- 1 cup = 250 ml
